Book and Paper Classes at Fleisher this April!

I am thrilled to be teaching for Fleisher Art Memorial again this spring. If you love book arts and paper, I’ve got two fantastic classes happening for the whole month of April.

Intro to Book Arts Structures

Mondays, 10am – 1pm, for the month of APRIL

Artist Book by Nicole Donnelly, Untitled Field Journal

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own artist books? Each class, we will learn and construct a new book structure, start to finish, including: pamphlet, coptic stitch, drumleaf, Japanese stab binding, and archival longstitch.

Papermaking with Plant Fiber

Mondays, 6:30pm – 9:30pm, for the month of APRIL

Do PLANTS and PAPER thrill you to the core? If so, this is the class for you! We’re going to experiment with up to 6 different plant fibers over the course of 4 weeks. Learn about the various properties and preparation of common papermaking plants, garden plants, and even some invasive species!
